An exciting three-year redevelopment of Bupa Cromwell Hospital

The multi-million pound Advance Programme aims to transform Bupa Cromwell Hospital into London’s most advanced private hospital. The Programme focuses on three key areas:

Installing clinically leading-edge technology

We were the first private hospital in London to offer Gamma Knife radio surgery and the first to offer TomoTherapy Hi-Art for highly-targeted radiotherapy. Supported by the Advance Programme, we will continue to lead the way and invest in clinically advanced equipment to reduce waiting times and improve patient outcomes.

During the last two years we have added an angiography suite, a CT scanner and two top-of-the-range MRI scanners with ambient lighting and sound for a more comfortable patient experience. We have also refurbished our operating theatres with new lighting, flooring, decor and equipment.

Creating a five star environment

The hospital layout will change dramatically. The main reception area will offer calm and pleasant waiting areas, patient rooms will be refurbished to a very high standard and our Luxury Suites on the fourth floor will be the epitome of style and comfort. A new hospital restaurant called Cromwell Brasserie will serve outstanding cuisine to suit a wide range of tastes. 

Delivering exceptional patient care

The new facilities and refined practices encompassing the Advance Programme are designed to enhance our exceptional patient care.

Bupa Cromwell Hospital is already recognised as a centre for excellence in the fields of cardiology, oncology, paediatrics, complex surgery and medicine. During the Advance Programme, we will expand the number of areas in the hospital offering specialised care. Our International Patient Centre will also be transformed, providing an individualised service for our overseas patients.
