Ear, nose and throat surgery

Ear, nose and throat, or ENT, surgeons are trained in the surgical and medical treatment of conditions of the ears, nose, throat, head and neck, including facial plastics and some cosmetic surgery, including ear reshaping and rhinoplasty.

Some of the conditions managed within this specialty include common illnesses such as recurrent tonsillitis and recurrent ear infections such as otitis media, which are common in children.

Other conditions include obstructive sleep apnoea, and nasal blockage which can result from sinusitis, as well as unique and special problems only seen within this patient group.
