This specialty covers the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of problems of the joints, bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves affecting babies, and children up to 16 years of age.
Orthopaedic surgery also covers treatment of injuries such as following a fall or other accident, including fractures, dislocations and soft tissue injuries through to highly complex surgery.

Following surgery
Your child can recover comfortably in our children-only Starfish Ward. Our 14 in-patient rooms are spacious and all have ensuite bathrooms, TV and DVD player, and WiFi. The Starfish playroom is bright and colourful with lots of toys and activities.
Many children also benefit from physiotherapy in our purpose-designed gym to help restore movement and function.
