Pharmacy services for in-patients
Our pharmacists make daily ward visits to discuss drug needs for all in-patients and provide a medication information service for doctors and patients.
Discharge packs are prepared for patients who need them to ensure they maintain the correct medication levels and only take medicines which are compatible with one another. Pharmacists talk through the prescription with the patient and give advice and recommendations on correct usage.
Pharmacy services for out-patients
Before dispensing medicines, our pharmacists discuss the prescription and the patient’s clinical condition, lifestyle and personal circumstances.
Patients identities are protected in the pharmacy public area by the unique number attached to their prescription order. A screened off area of the sales counter is available for private conversations, as is a private consultation room.
Pharmacy services for cancer patients having chemotherapy
Our pharmacists prepare bespoke chemotherapy doses for patients on each occasion they visit for treatment, and give advice in response to their changing chemotherapy needs.
Our in-house aseptic production facilities include compounding units with multiple clean rooms, and purpose-built quality assurance laboratories.
