The main theatre complex located in the lower ground floor consists of four fully-equipped operating theatres. Two theatres have Laminar Flow which is particularly important for orthopaedic surgery. There are four anaesthetic rooms and a five-bed dedicated recovery area located next to the Intensive Care and High Dependency Units.
Our theatres are equipped to undertake complex major surgery including cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery and many other specialties and are staffed by a well-established and experienced team. Committed to providing the highest level of service and care, 24-hour emergency on-call cover is provided by our theatre team and a perfusionist.
Children are treated in the Rainbow paediatric theatre which adjoins its own dedicated intensive care unit for children only.
