The prestigious Laing & Buisson Independent Healthcare Awards are now in their sixth year, and Bupa Cromwell Hospital is proud to be nominated in three categories this year.
Best Use of Technology: Using technology to measure the patient discharge process. The hospital is using Nervecentre software to pinpoint specific points in the discharge process, from the time the patient is deemed ready to leave to the time the bed is ready for the next patient.
Excellence in training: The Patient First initiative at Bupa Cromwell Hospital is designed to help staff fully understand the whole journey a patient takes during their time at hospital, and to make sure they are treated with a consistently high level of care.
Nursing practice: Beyond clinical care. Carole Patrick, lead nurse for oncology services at the hospital, is constantly striving to provide a safe, caring environment to deliver a caring, holistic approach to each patient.
Bupa Cromwell Hospital won a Laing & Buission award in 2009, and has been nominated every year since it began submitting entries. Two nominations were received by the hospital last year. The winners will be announced in September 2011.
