Biography

Prof Kim is based at the St George's University Hospital, London and works closely with the Royal Marsden Hospital oncologists. He is dual-qualified in Medicine (Edinburgh University) and Dentistry (Birmingham University). He subsequently trained at Edinburgh, Cambridge and Birmingham teaching hospitals.  He completed an Advanced Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology at the Toronto General Hospital and the Mount Sinai Hospitals, and gained additional training in minimally-invasive 'key-hole' thyroid and parathyroid surgery (under Professor David Terris (USA) and Professor Paulo Miccoli (Italy) and robotic surgery (under Prof. Chung (Seoul/Korea). His current research is based at the Institute of Cancer Research (London) studying immunotherapy of thyroid and head and neck cancers.
