Biography

Daniel Walsh qualified as a doctor from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1993. His basic surgical training took place in Dublin and London and his Neurosurgical training was undertaken in Glasgow. He underwent specialist Fellowship training in Neurovascular Surgery with Professor Michael Morgan in Sydney, Australia. 
 
Mr Walsh's areas of particular interest are cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations of the brain and spinal cord, cerebral revascularisation and stroke prevention, ELANA (Excimer Laser Assisted Non Occlusive Anastomosis), Moyamoya disease, general neurosurgery including tumours of the brain and spine and degenerative spinal disease. He is part of the multidisciplinary team at Guy's Hospital which supports the nationally commissioned neurofibromatosis service. 
 
He is a consultant neurosurgeon at King's College Hospital, London and honorary consultant neurosurgeon at Guys's and St Thomas' Hospital, London.
