After advanced Fellowship training in Shoulder and Upper Limb Surgery in London, Mr Ahmed was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Whipps Cross University Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust in 2005
Mr Ahmed has extensive experience in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and elbow and has pioneered keyhole techniques for fixation of complex shoulder fractures. He has presented and published his technique both nationally and internationally.
In 2012, Mr Ahmed was selected as one of a handful of leading UK orthopaedic surgeons, to provide specialist care to elite athletes participating in the London Olympic Games.
He lectures nationally on shoulder and elbow surgery and teaches on courses for the FRCS (Tr and Orth) degree.
