Background Information

Mr Giuliani qualified as a specialist neonatal and paediatric surgeon in 2006 at the University of Padova, Italy. Then he worked for four years at the Children?s Hospital Los Angeles (USA) achieving excellent skills in neonatal, oncologic, transplant and minimally invasive surgery for children. Mr Giuliani has been a consultant paediatric surgeon working in London since 2010. He works at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and he has a busy surgical practice based on neonatal surgery, minimally invasive and oncologic surgery.

Research interests

Mr Giuliani holds a PhD in Developmental Biology from the University of Padova (Italy) and he is Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London (UCL). His main research focuses are on necrotizing enterocolitis in premature babies, minimally invasive surgical techniques, oncology and neonatal surgical outcomes. He has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at international meetings all around the world.
