Background Information

Qualified University of Birmingham 1995. Post graduate training was in Oxford, Leicester and London. PhD (Kings) focussed on NIV and patient ventilation interactions in COPD patients - awarded two European prizes. After completing Darzi Fellowship and accreditation in General Internal, Respiratory and Intensive Care Medicine, appointed as Consultant in Intensive Care and Respiratory Medicine at Harefield Hospital. Lead for Education and Governance, Dept of Critical Care 2011-15. Served on Dept of Health, British Thoracic Society and Royal College of Physicians committees. Member of several national guideline writing groups. ALS and CALS instructor. Deliver courses in NIV, respiratory clinical assessment and Human Factors. Member of Kings MSc Palliative Care Faculty.
