Biography

Dr Vanessa Mooney qualified in Dublin from the Royal College of Surgeons undergraduate school in 1977.  This was followed by 4 years in paediatrics and general medicine, followed by a GP traineeship and a year in Australia. Dr Mooney came to the Cromwell in 1990 and has built up a substantial general practice with a special interest in women's health and the menopause.  She has extensive experience in screening and has run several menopause clinics in the past.  She is now exclusively based at the Cromwell. Her practice is run on a personal level and all patients have direct access to Dr Mooney.  Patient care and empathy is of the utmost importance.  Dr Mooney speaks French and her practice is made up of both local and international clientele with many high profile patients. Dr Mooney has been member of many committees over the past 17 years and is an appraiser for general practice and held the post of Medical Director for Family Medicine and Paediatrics at the Cromwell for 4 years.
