Paying for yourself at Cromwell Hospital (self pay)
Quick and easy access to leading consultants and a wide range of medical services. Choose to pay for yourself today.
At Cromwell Hospital, we know that waiting for medical treatment can impact on your quality of life – leaving you frustrated and sometimes even in pain.
With specialist consultants covering a wide range of medical and surgical treatments, Cromwell Hospital offers patients fast access to high quality treatments, and the chance to avoid waiting lists or expensive insurance premiums, by self paying for treatment.
Self pay means that you pay for your own treatment. Anyone can self pay for diagnostic tests and treatments – you don’t need medical insurance or a GP referral.
If you choose to pay for your own treatment, we also offer fixed price packages for certain procedures.
Self pay and fixed price packages
We offer a wide range of tests, treatments and surgical procedures, which you can pay for as and when you need them.
This option means you can have fast access to our consultants and services without the need for private health insurance or a GP referral.
Please note, in most cases your consultant will invoice you separately for their services. The payment process will all be explained in detail to you, so you will know what you are paying for from the outset.
With our fixed price packages, you'll know exactly what you're paying from the start. You will be provided with an all-inclusive price for your treatment, so you don’t need to worry about incurring additional, unexpected costs.
A fixed price package will include your hospital, surgeon and anaesthetist fees and follow-up consultations - so there'll be no hidden costs.
If you can’t find the treatment you’re looking for or if you’re not eligible for a fixed price package, please get in touch and we'll talk you through your options.
At this stage we will be able to give you a guide price for the treatment you need. Please be aware this may change and the final price will be given to you after you have your initial appointment with you consultant.
We will be able to give you the consultant’s consultation fee at this point as well.
When you attend your initial appointment, your consultant will discuss with you your health history and your treatment options.
They will also book any diagnostic tests you may need prior to your surgery or treatment. These could include X–Rays, MRI scans and blood tests.
After you’ve seen your consultant and undergone any required diagnostics tests, we can then confirm the price for your treatment. If you have further questions, we will be on-hand to answer these and support you in making an informed decision.
If you would like to go ahead with the treatment, we can then book you in at a date and time most convenient for you. We’ll continue to be available to answer questions and support you as best as we can throughout.
We will contact you to take the payment for your treatment five days before you come into the hospital.
