This specialty is concerned with managing children up to 16 years of age experiencing conditions including:
- cleft palate and craniofacial surgery
- nasal blockages
- obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome, or stopping breathing due to obstruction of the upper airway
- otitis media, or inflammation of the inner ear
- speech and language disorders

We have a fully integrated Paediatric Centre including our child friendly Skyline Ward for children. The Rainbow Theatre forms an integral part of the Skyline Ward.
We have a number of highly regarded paediatric ear, nose and throat specialists who are supported a comprehensive hearing centre which is run by experienced and sympathetic audiologists.
Please note that we do not provide a paediatric intensive care unit at Bupa Cromwell Hospital. However, any deteriorating child will be quickly assessed and stabilised by a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) trained in paediatric intensive care, supported by an on-call Paediatric Intensive Care Consultant, before being transferred to the most appropriate paediatric intensive care provider by the Children’s Acute Transport Service (CATS).
